1105: BR (SR) MARK 4 POWER BOGIE CASTINGS This kit can be used to convert the Hornby SWB motor bogie to create a power bogie for BR (SR) EMU and DEMU types 2EPB MJT 1002, 4EPB MJT 1003, 2HAP MJT 1007, 4CEP MJT 1010, 3H MJT 1009, MLV MJT 1006 and GLV MJT 1005. They are also suitable for certain variants of the 4CIG MJT 1000, 4BIG MJT 1001 and 4VEP MJT 1008. Although the prototype motor bogies were of 8ft 9in wheelbase the castings are produced to 8ft 6in (34mm) wheelbase to match the Hornby SWB block. The kit contains cast side frames, chassis / cross plate, bogie ends, shoe beams and fuse boxes. Sufficient for one bogie. The shoe beams supplied with this item are also available separately - MJT 1107 - for use with a standard BR Mk1 Bogie - MJT 7002 - or proprietary (Hornby, Bachmann etc.) equivalent. BR Mk1 bogies are similar to the non-powered bogies which were used for current collection on some of these units. For the 3H DEMU the pick up shoes are not needed. Price: £8.00
