Designed to be used with the Ratio 610 or 612 short chassis.

While, notionally, intended to represent a Diagram U12 Centre Luggage Composite, there are a number of inaccuracies; primarily introduced to allow the sides to work easily with the Ratio donor. The Diagram U12 had a LA9N (Lewis System) profile with a Single Arc roof while the Ratio kit has the taller (later) LE7N profile with the Three Arc (Elliptical ) roof. As well as having the wrong roof profile, the sides have been stretched by 3in to fit the Ratio body height; the whole coach is therefore not strictly prototypical.
If the modeller is prepared to accept the 2in discrepancy in the eaves and around a 2in discrepancy in the window height (the remaining height seems to have been lost in the lower panelling) then the use of the Shire S114M single arc ends will lower the body overall. It will contribute to a rail to roof height of a prototypical 11ft 2in. The droplights may be filled with card or scrap brass if an earlier vehicle is to be modelled but the window frame will still be non-prototypical.

Optionally, sprung buffers (MJT 2335S) and gas lamp tops (MJT 2945) are also available. Note: if converting a Ratio kit, the gas lamp tops will have to be replaced as the existing ones are moulded into the roof in the wrong places for this vehicle.
